- Union leaders, entrepreneurs, and business owners from the Ñuble Region gathered in Chillán to analyze with economist Óscar Landerretche the public policies affecting the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Víctor Sandoval, president of Pymemad Biobío-Ñuble, participated as one of the main guests at the Ñuble 2025 Business and Union Meeting, held at the Gran Hotel Isabel Riquelme in Chillán. The event, organized by the National Multiguild and Ñuble Multiguild, brought together representatives from various productive guilds in the region.
The central theme of the event was "Obstacles Holding Back SMEs," addressing how current public policies impact the sector's competitiveness, including aspects such as permits, contributions, and taxes. Economist Óscar Landerretche was the main speaker at the meeting.
"It was a very good conversation, very fruitful. In addition to Landerretche's plenary presentation on his vision for the country, we had a smaller working table with local business owners where each sector—commerce, agriculture, construction, and us from the timber industry—could share our specific concerns and economic projections," Sandoval stated.
Among the other participating union leaders were Alicia Calli from the Ñuble Beauty Professionals Guild Association, Patricio Figueroa from Asofucam Ñuble, Carlos González from the Ñuble Farmers Association, Juan Pablo Swett from the National Multiguild, Alejandro Lama from the Chillán-Ñuble Chamber of Commerce and FEDECOMTUR, Sebastián Godoy from the Ñuble Chilean Chamber of Construction, and Carlos Smith from APROCARNE.
The program concluded with closing remarks by Juan Pablo Swett and a networking session with visits to stands and brand activations.
