1. PymeMad Araucaníais driving the modernization of its associated companies with the successful implementation of the Sustainable Promotion Network program. Its Regional President, Rocío Lagos, reported the completion of the first phase with the installation of electrical monitoring sensors in three timber companies, while six others are undergoing diagnostics.

The project, executed in collaboration with the Center for Industry 4.0 (C4i) of the University of Concepción, includes monitoring electrical variables such as voltage, current, and power, enabling the identification of critical production indicators like downtime, operation factor, and usage factor in the main equipment of the sawmills.

Ignacio Marchant, representative of C4i, highlighted that the installed technology includes a visualization dashboard with an alert system based on customized thresholds, allowing real-time detection of anomalous behaviors. "The project's philosophy is clear: technology is a means, not an end. Data allows us to create customized work plans for each company, with measurable impact through before-and-after comparison," he stated.

The Sustainable Promotion Network program, which spans three years and covers from the Biobío region to Los Lagos, plans to conduct 300 diagnostics and 200 implementations in manufacturing companies. In La Araucanía, 15 to 20 potential timber companies have been identified to continue the process.

"This project represents a significant advancement in the modernization of our sector. Collaboration with universities allows us to access cutting-edge technology that will improve the competitiveness of our associates," emphasized the Regional President.

PymeMad Araucanía will actively participate in the program's governance board, contributing the vision and needs of the timber sector alongside other manufacturing guilds from the four regions. This collaborative instance among CORFO, guilds, and manufacturing SMEs will define the prioritization of technological packages and validate specific solutions for each productive sector.
