- PymeMad Biobío-Ñuble held its General Assembly of Members on July 24 in Tomé, at the facilities of Aislacor, with the participation of 10 associated companies. During the event, a new board was elected and a five-year strategic plan developed regionally was presented as a proposal to strengthen timber SMEs.
Víctor Sandoval Sanzana was unanimously reelected as regional president, accompanied by Lorena Vargas as vice president, Javier Barrera as secretary, Rodolfo Contardo as treasurer, and directors Felipe Enríquez, José Basauri, and Michel Esquerré.
During the meeting, a comprehensive regional management report was presented, highlighting progress in communication advisory and guild positioning, the establishment of working groups with major forestry companies, and active participation in technical instances such as Impulso Pyme 4.0, SENAPRED, and the BioBío Madera program, where PymeMad currently chairs the governance.
"This strategic plan developed from Biobío-Ñuble is our proposal to establish ourselves as the authoritative voice of the forestry SME sector. We want to share these initiatives with all the regions where we operate to strengthen our representativeness," stated Michel Esquerré during the presentation.
The proposed five-year plan includes ambitious objectives such as the full incorporation of sector companies, operational strengthening of associated SMEs, the development of new business opportunities, and the consolidation of strategic alliances within the forestry ecosystem.
Among the initiatives presented, the "First 3.0 Association" plan stands out, which includes proposals such as the launch of a new institutional website, the digitization of administrative processes, coordinated activation of social media, and the quarterly publication of the "Somos PYMEMAD" Magazine.
The proposal developed by Biobío-Ñuble will be shared with the other regions of PymeMad for evaluation and coordinated implementation.
