1. Representatives of PymeMad participated in the meeting where former Central Bank President Vittorio Corbo and analyst Jorge Navarrete Poblete presented on the country's economic challenges.

PymeMad Nacional A.G. participated in the "Economic Projections" breakfast organized by CMPC, held last Thursday, July 10th at the Hotel Four Points by Sheraton in Los Ángeles. The association was represented by President Michel Esquerré Dal Borgo, along with directors Hernán Muñoz, Víctor Sandoval, and Lorena Vargas.

The event, led by Francisco Ruiz-Tagle, General Manager of CMPC, featured presentations by renowned economist and former Central Bank President Vittorio Corbo, along with lawyer and analyst Jorge Navarrete Poblete, who analyzed the main challenges and perspectives for the national and international economy.

During the meeting, crucial topics for the forestry sector were addressed, including the international economic outlook and local contingencies affecting the industry. PymeMad representatives highlighted the importance of these dialogue spaces, where the economic vision of the sector was discussed, with special emphasis on analyses of the current political reality and the uncertainty it generates.

The president of PymeMad emphasized the contrast between "political contingency, which is a short-term view, countered by the need for long-term perspectives in sectoral views for continuous development" of the forestry sector. This perspective is fundamental for small and medium-sized timber enterprises that require stability and projection for their investments.

PymeMad's participation in these types of events reinforces the association's commitment to staying informed about economic trends impacting the sector, thus facilitating strategic decision-making for its members. The meeting also helped strengthen ties between PymeMad and CMPC, a key relationship for the development of the country's timber SMEs.
